Lot 4083 CASED COLT MODEL "7" 1855 ROOT REVOLVER.

Cal. 31. S# 13293. Standard production, 3.5" round barrel, 2-line New York address, unique to this model is screw in cylinder to attach to cylinder pin. Housed in Colt mahogany casing, compartmented for blued steel 2-cavity mold, scarce "peacock" flask with crossed pistols, cap tin, and "L" shaped tool. Casing plaque is monogrammed with script "WAB". CONDITION: very good to fine overall, barrel and frame retain 60% blue finish, cylinder has strong traces of blue finish with complete stagecoach holdup rolled scene. Mechanically fine, bright crisp rifled bore. Colt Root red baize lined compartmented casing is very good, soiled and stained fabric, accoutrements matching condition.
